  Cooktown is my home, it is where my heart is. Some (not me) say it is the largest unfenced asylum in the world. We have million dollar views, the people are genuine and tell it like it is, and there are a lot of males who would not look out of place playing alongside ZZ Top. It's a magical place. Come up for the Discovery Festival in June/July and wallow in the history.

  Great history of Australia...in a beautiful setting, no wonder Cook wanted to drop anchor here to repair Endeavour. Simply beautiful.

  A must see when visiting Cooktown. Has fantastic views 360deg . This is where Captain Cook and his crew climbed to get their position and idea of navigating the reef once they made their repairs to the Endeavour.
